Meooow…August 8th is our special day: International Cat Day. A day just for us cats! It reminds humans that we need care, gentleness, and safe places to curl up in. Some of us are lucky with families, while others wait quietly in shelters, hoping for love.
This day also feels connected to long ago, when cats in Ancient Egypt were treasured as friends and protectors. I like to think those humans knew how special we were. Today is a reminder that we still need kindness, patience, and soft hands to guide us.
The next Cat Day will be on Saturday, August 8, 2026. I hope by then more cats will have warm homes, full bowls, and hearts that love them. That is the world I dream of: a place where every cat is safe, wanted, and cared for, always!
